  Curved Balance Beam

SPONSORED BY FORT KNOX COMMUNITY GRANT

  Stationary Cycler

The cycler allows the child the freedom   to walk or wheel to its easy grab bar.       The children will increase their sense       of vestibular and proprioception as           well as strengthen their upper body,         hand-eye coordination and flexibility.

  Escalator Climber

The climber offers an incredible range   of challenges that help build gross           motor skills, upper body strength,           hand-eye coordination, foster                   imagination and promote social play.

  Flywheel Spinner

Spinning is one of the core movements that         engage the vestibular system. When                       children spin they are providing their brain         with valuable equilibrium information. The         flywheel spinner also provides social                     interaction while safely limiting the                       number of children that can ride at once.

  Marble Sensory Panel

Sensory Panels provide a place for               children to walk, wheel, or run to.               They will help provide auditory and             tactile stimulation as well as                         develop fine motor skills.

  OmniSpin

Provides sensory stimulating play for       children of all abilities. With its                   supporting side walls that make                 spinning safe and fun as well as                 providing valuable vestibular                     stimulation.

  Pulse

Table tennis pulse is a game of         mental concentration and hand-     eye coordination. Kids play in           teams bouncing the light back to     their opponent, going faster as         the game progresses.

  Rain Sound Sensory Panel

Sensory Panels provide a place for                       children to walk, wheel, or run to.                         They will help provide auditory and                     tactile stimulation as well as                                   develop fine motor skills.

  Roller Table

The roller table provides much         needed deep muscle pressure           and fun upper body work out.           Children with mobility impairments can easily transfer on to the piece and it also encourages kids of all abilities to roll on all sides of their bodies.

Xylofun Sensory Panel

Sensory Panels provide a place for       children to walk, wheel, or run to. They will help provide auditory and tactile stimulation as well as develop fine motor skills.

  Embankment Slide

The slide will be built into the           side of the natural hill in the             playground. It will be made from     stainless steel making it durable     and long lasting. The stainless         steel will benefit children or their caregivers with cochlear implants due to the lack of static build up. The slide also opportunities to increase balance, motor planning, coordination and social play.

Swinging encourages social and cooperative             play. The back and forth movement provide             children with visual, vestibular and                             proprioceptive stimulation. Children will learn       how much effort it takes to increase or                     decrease their speed. The playground will                 have 3 bays of swings with 4 belt swings and           two molded bucket swings.
